Refer & Earn — Terms & Conditions

The Cruoo Refer & Earn programme lets you earn rewards when people book experiences through your personal referral link. These terms explain exactly how the programme works, when rewards unlock, and the rules that keep it fair. By sharing your referral link, you agree to these terms.

Who Can Participate

Anyone with a Cruoo account can participate as a referrer. Your unique referral code and shareable link are available on the Refer & Earn page in your account. The person you refer does not need a Cruoo account — they simply need to open your link and complete a booking.

You must have a verified Indian phone number on your account to receive payouts, since rewards are paid via UPI.

How Referrals Are Tracked

When someone opens a link containing your referral code, we store the code in their browser for 30 days. Any booking they make from that browser within those 30 days is credited to you. If they later open a different person's referral link, the most recent link wins — only one referrer is credited per booking.

Attribution is recorded at the moment the booking is created. Clearing browser data, using a different device, or booking after the 30-day window means the booking cannot be credited, and we are unable to attribute bookings retroactively.

What You Earn

The reward per booking is set by Cruoo and displayed on your Refer & Earn page. Depending on the current programme configuration, it is either a fixed amount per booking or a percentage of the booking value. The reward you see at the time the referred booking's payment is confirmed is locked in for that booking — later changes to the programme never affect rewards you have already earned.

There is no limit on how many people you can refer. Each completed referred booking earns its own reward.

When Rewards Unlock

A reward is created as soon as the referred booking is paid and confirmed, but it remains pending until the trip actually takes place. Once the experience date passes with the booking still confirmed, the reward becomes payable.

If the referred booking is cancelled by the guest, rejected, refunded, or doesn't take place for any reason before the trip, the associated reward is reversed and will not be paid. This applies regardless of who initiated the cancellation.

Payouts

Payouts are made manually by the Cruoo team via UPI to your registered details. There is no minimum balance — any unlocked amount can be paid out. The team processes referral payouts periodically; you can see the live status of every reward (pending, ready to pay, or paid) on your Refer & Earn page. Rewards have no cash value until paid, cannot be transferred to another person, and cannot be applied as a discount on your own bookings.

Fair Use

The programme is meant for genuine recommendations to friends, family, and followers. The following are not allowed:

Booking through your own referral link (self-referral) — bookings made with your own account or your own phone number never earn a reward. Spamming your link in unrelated forums, comment sections, or messaging groups. Misrepresenting Cruoo, its prices, or the programme. Paid advertising on the Cruoo brand name or any attempt to manipulate attribution.

We may reverse rewards, withhold payouts, or remove a participant from the programme where we find misuse or fraudulent activity, including after a payout has been made if the underlying booking is later refunded.

Taxes

Referral rewards may be taxable income depending on your circumstances. You are responsible for declaring and paying any taxes that apply to amounts you receive under this programme.

Programme Changes

Cruoo may change the reward amount or structure, pause, or end the programme at any time without prior notice. Changes apply only to future bookings — rewards already earned keep the terms they were created under and remain payable per these terms.
